The auditions for Beta Blockers are tonight at 7pm! No prepared material is needed, but do come prepared to perform.

Announcing auditions for BETA BLOCKERS, an evening of five new short plays written by Madison’s Ned O’Reilly, author of the recent Mercury Players Theatre production WIDESCREEN.

WHEN: Friday, January 9, 7 p.m.

WHERE: First Baptist Church, 518 N Franklin Ave, Madison, Room 305

WHAT: Auditioners will read from the scripts; no prepared material necessary.

Directors Bri Baltes, Benjamin Barlow, Jason Compton, Sara Beth Hahner, and Francisco Torres will cast 8-10 people in roles of various ages.

The plays are all contemporarily set and feature vulnerable, but humorous characters ranging in age from 20-something to 50. We are particularly in need of a 30+ actress to handle some adult material.

IMPORTANT: This is a festival piece, designed to travel to Chicago’s Prop Thtr on February 14th and 15th for two performances in the 26th Annual Rhinoceros Theatre Festival ( http://rhinofest.com/ ) , curated and produced by Curious Theatre Branch. There will also be Madison performances February 13th and 18th.
